Showing Mathematics on the Web

Most materials collected here are available elsewhere on the Web, mostly in the MathML and OpenMath Home Pages. I collect the (partial) information here for the convenience of my colleagues (and myself) in Taiwan, because it usually takes a lot of time to read the overseas Web Pages during the working hours (and professors simply do not have time). Occasionaly I add my personal comments.

此處的資訊大多採自國外的相關網頁, 特別是 MathML 和 OpenMath 的網頁. 我之所以將它們 (部分地) 集合在此, 主要是為了節省我的同仁們 (和我自己) 的時間. 因為, 在上班時間, 從臺灣讀國外的網頁是非常費時的工作. 而教授們通常總是時間不夠用. 偶爾我也添加一些純屬個人的意見.

為了比較各種呈現方法的效果, 我節選了一份課堂講義. 這是一九九七年一月十七日我對機械系學生講的第二十六堂課. 這一份示範文件, 在此一律稱作統一示範文件.

不管使用什麼方法將數學文字呈現於網頁中, 我個人一律是從 TeX 出發. 我總是先寫 TeX 版本的文件, 然後轉換成適合網頁的各種格式. 為了教學目的所寫的文件, 幾乎全是中文. 所以, 嚴格來說, 我所使用的排版軟體是 chiTeX (偶爾也會用 chiLaTeX).
